In Australia, it is estimated that 1 in 3, or 1 million Australian’s experience eczema. With many parents and caregivers often being given the wrong advice on the management of eczema, nurses are well-placed to provide education and support to families of the child with eczema.
In this webinar, we will be discussing common skin complaints in childhood with a focus on holistic approaches in eczema care. This will include the use of wet dressings, bleach baths, best products and a family centred approach to eczema management.
Later in the webinar, we will review Impetigo and molluscum contagiosum to help you gain a better understanding of what advice to give to families in your care.
In this video learning activity, you will:
- Describe the initial response for an unconscious infant or child
- Outline the steps in basic life support including Airway, Breathing and Circulation
- Describe what would be required for advanced airway support of the infant and child
- Discuss outcomes for children and infants following cardiac arrest
